Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, April 13, 2026 on Phase One of the 89th Street Reconstruction Project.

This major infrastructure project includes the replacement of underground utilities, including water main, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer, along with a full road reconstruction. Improvements also include the addition of a new multi-use path and sidewalk along 70th Avenue.

The project will be completed in three phases.

Phase One Details
Work will take place from the intersection of 89th Street and 78th Avenue to Main Street, and from Main Street to 74th Avenue.

What to Expect
Road closures on 89th Street between 78th Avenue and 74th Avenue will be in effect starting Monday, April 13, 2026.

Driveway access will be maintained within active construction zones on a daily basis; however, there may be times during working hours when local traffic access is temporarily unavailable.

Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained throughout the full duration of the project.
