The Town of Osoyoos is the water purveyor for both the Municipal Water System and Rural Water District Systems 8 & 9.
The Town of Osoyoos has transitioned to removing water, sewer and garbage user fees from the tax notice onto a separate utility bill. This will commence in 2025, with the first utility bill being mailed to property owners by mid February. The bills will now be quarterly on the following schedule:
Q1 – January 1 to March 31
Q2 – April 1 to June 30
Q3 – July 1 to September 30
Q4 – October 1 to December 31
Bills will be mailed out the month prior to the due date. There will be a 10% penalty on any outstanding balances. Balances that are outstanding and unpaid by December 31st will be transferred to the property tax bill as arrears.
Currently, user fees are on a flat rate system. Once all meters have been installed, usage will be monitored for multiple billing cycles but not charged. From there, metered rates based on usage will be established and charged accordingly.Utility Invoices
