Event Highlights
8:30 a.m. – Rotary Pancake Breakfast in the park next to Town Hall.
10:50 a.m. – Water Fight with the Firefighters at Home Hardware. Please leave water balloons at home and bring your water blasters instead to help keep the event safe and enjoyable for everyone.
11:00 a.m. – Cherry Fiesta Parade along Main Street.
12:00 p.m. – Head to Gyro Park for live entertainment, food, beverages, and family activities throughout the afternoon and evening.
10:00 p.m. – End the day with the Canada Day fireworks
Road Closures & Parking Impacts
Park Place:
Park Place will be closed from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Vehicle access will be permitted for those with mobility or accessibility needs for drop-off only. No parking will be available.
Main Street (Highway 3):
No parking will be permitted along the parade route beginning at 6:00 a.m. Highway 3 will be closed from the intersection of Highway 97 to Kingfisher Drive from 10:45 a.m. and will reopen once the parade has safely passed and roads have been cleared (approximately 12:00 p.m.). An alternate route will be available via Kingfisher Drive and 62nd Avenue, with detour signage in place.
74th Avenue, Hummingbird Lane & Nighthawk Drive:
These roads will be closed to traffic from 8:00 a.m. to approximately 12:00 p.m.
87th Street:
87th Street will be closed from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. between Highway 3 and 74th Avenue.
Side Roads Along the Parade Route:
All side roads connecting to the parade route will be closed to traffic beginning at 10:30 a.m. and will reopen once the parade has safely passed and roads have been cleared.
Some delays may occur on various routes following the parade as floats disperse.
Community Safety
Following the fireworks display, expect heavy traffic and delays. Please follow the direction of traffic control personnel and drive with care. If possible, consider walking, cycling, carpooling, or using other alternate modes of transportation to help reduce traffic congestion and parking demand.
