Work will take place from the intersection of Kingfisher Drive to 70th Avenue.

What to Expect

89th Street from Kingfisher Drive to 70th Avenue will be closed for milling on Friday, May 15, 2026. The intersection of Kingfisher Drive and 89th Street will also be closed for a period of time on Friday. The roadway will reopen to local traffic only for the May long weekend. Road closures will resume beginning Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

 

Driveway access will be maintained within active construction zones on a daily basis; however, there may be times during working hours when local traffic access is temporarily unavailable. A full-time traffic control person will be on site to help residents access their homes.

 

Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained throughout the full duration of the project.
