Project Update: Review the Draft transportation Master Plan and Share your Feedback

The Town of Osoyoos is presenting the Draft Transportation Master Plan and inviting community members to participate in the second round of engagement. This long-term plan will guide how people move around Osoyoos for years to come.

Earlier this year, the Town began developing a new Transportation Master Plan, including engaging with the community to explore how the transportation network can better meet the community’s current and future needs. The Draft Plan establishes a vision and sets goals for the community’s transportation network, with a focus on creating streets that are safe, comfortable, accessible and well-maintained for all users.

The feedback collected during the first round of engagement was used to inform the Transportation Master Plan’s vision and goals. The following goals were identified:

  • Create safe and welcoming local streets

  • Build an age-friendly, connected walking network

  • Connect the biking and multi-use pathway network

  • Partner with the Province to improve the Highway Corridor

  • Make it easy for visitors to “Park Once”

  • Improve transit and shared transportation

More information about the first round of engagement is available in the What We Learned Report.

As part of the second round of engagement, residents are invited to review the Draft Plan and share their feedback. Input gathered during this phase will help identify any gaps and inform refinements to the plan.

How to get involved:

  • Review the Draft Transportation Master Plan at osoyoostmp.ca

  • Complete the online survey by July 31, 2026

  • Visit a pop-up engagement event to share feedback in person and learn more:

    • Saturday, July 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Osoyoos Farmers Market (Town Hall Square on Main Street)

Community input is essential to ensuring the Transportation Master Plan reflects the needs and experiences of all residents. Everyone is encouraged to take part and help shape the future of transportation in Osoyoos.

The Town of Osoyoos is developing a Transportation Master Plan (TMP) to guide long-term transportation planning in our community.

The plan will identify:

  • Priorities for roadway improvements

  • Enhancement to the downtown street network and vibrancy

  • Opportunities to improve accessibility, safety, and connectivity

We are currently at the community engagement portion of the project where we want to ensure everyone's needs and experiences are reflected in the planning process.

Community engagement includes gathering public input on local transportation issues, challenges, and concerns as well as understanding the community's values and priorities related to transportation.
