On Saturday, October 17, 2026, the Town of Osoyoos will conduct an election for:
1 Mayor
4 Councillors
2 Water Councillors
Advance opportunities for voting will take place on:
Wednesday, October 7, 2026
Saturday, October 10, 2026
All voting will take place at Sonora Community Centre gymnasium, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, 8505-68th Avenue, Osoyoos. Curbside voting will be available outside of Sonora Community Centre for voters who are mobility challenged and unable to enter the voting place.
Voters who are unable to vote at Sonora may apply for a mail ballot at the municipal office as of September 28, 2026.
Information for Voters
Registration for voting will take place in conjunction with voting opportunities.
To be eligible to vote in the election, you must be:
18 years of age or older on the day of registration to vote, and
A Canadian citizen, and
Resident of BC for at least 6 months immediately preceding the day of registration, and
Current resident of Osoyoos (for resident electors), OR registered owner of real property in the Town of Osoyoos (for non-resident property electors) for at least 30 days immediately preceding the day of registration, and
Not be disqualified under the Local Government Act or any other enactment from voting in an election or otherwise disqualified by law.
Non-resident property electors are encouraged to contact the municipal office in advance to ensure that all the necessary paperwork has been assembled before busy voting days.
