It is my privilege and honour to invite you to investigate, explore, and make Osoyoos your new hometown. Osoyoos has a great diversity of property choices ranging from rural farm, to rural settings, to in-town lots to high-end lakeside condos. The majority of these properties come with an outstanding view of Canada’s only desert that is surrounded by the warmest fresh water lake in Canada.
Our local schools are outstanding and have many provincial achievements to their credit. We are well-serviced by local doctors, clinics and alternative practitioners to meet all of your health care needs. We have a small hospital offering 24/7 emergency service just 20 minutes away. Osoyoos is a great location for golfers as the Osoyoos Golf Club has two outstanding 18 hole courses with a challenging executive layout. Our water sports range from kayaking, stand up paddling, dragon boat racing, sailing, and power boat options. Lake Osoyoos challenges many anglers with championship bass and salmon fishing.
We are fortunate to enjoy a variety of seasonal celebrations and cultural events. We have such a strong sense of “community” due to the energetic contributions of our volunteers. Osoyoos is a destination for people from around the world. Like you, the majority of our townsfolk have chosen a new life here and this is reflected by our diverse population, economy and special events for your enjoyment. I extend Canada’s warmest welcome to all our prospective residents.
Mayor Sue McKortoff
