The Resort Municipality of Osoyoos, BC located in the beautiful south Okanagan Valley is accepting applications for the position of Manager of Engineering.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Operational Services, this leadership position is responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects while providing strategic technical guidance to support the Town's continued growth and long-term sustainability. In the absence of the Director of Operational Services, the successful candidate may also perform the duties and responsibilities of the Director as required.

The Manager of Engineering leads the planning and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects involving water, sewer, stormwater, roads, buildings, parks, and related infrastructure. The role oversees projects from planning through construction, manages contracts and budgets, provides technical guidance on engineering and development matters, supports long-term infrastructure planning, and works closely with consultants, contractors, developers, regulatory agencies, and internal departments to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with municipal standards.

As part of the Operational Services leadership team, the Manager also supervises technical staff and consultants, fosters a culture of safety and accountability, and serves as a key liaison with Council, residents, and community stakeholders.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or related discipline from a recognized education institution (or equivalent combination of education an experience) would be considered an asset.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Engineering Licensee (Eng.L.) with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia, or registered Applied Science Technologist (AScT), or eligibility for registration.
• Project management training from a recognized educational institution would be considered an asset.
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in municipal infrastructure, project management and occupational health and safety including management of a unionized work force.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in management of technical staff in a unionized environment.

Hours per Week: Full-time 40/week – Exempt position

Hourly Rate: $105,560 - $124,188 plus a generous benefits package
