SEALED BIDS, for a New Volunteer Fire Hall for the Town of Osoyoos located at 9901 - 74th Avenue, Osoyoos, BC will be received by the undersigned up to 2:00 p.m., local time, Wednesday Friday, September (9) 11, 2015. Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter.  The reading of bids will be open to the public. 

The project includes slab-on-grade building and cast-in-place concrete foundation, with glulam, wood frame and concrete masonry unit structure, low-slope SBS roof.  Exterior walls are clad with cementitious panel rainscreen system.  The building features fire sprinkler system throughout, as well as geothermal mechanical system with in-slab radiant heat.  The contract includes construction of the new 1610 square meter building, civil site works, as well as hard and soft landscaping.


The form of agreement and general conditions used for this project will be the Standard Construction  Document CCDC 2 2008 Stipulated Price Contract, produced by the Canadian Construction Documents Committee with alterations and additions as set forth in supplementary conditions.


The Bid Documents will be lodged with B.C. Construction Association Plan Rooms, and are available from KMBR Architects Planners Inc., 1788 West 8th Avenue, Vancouver, V6J 1V6, to General Contractors only on a deposit of $200.00, refundable upon return of documents in good order and within 20 working days from tender closing unless notified otherwise.  The Bid Documents are also available for viewing at the Town of Osoyoos, Planning and Development Office, 8711 Main Street, Osoyoos, BC.

Bid Depository will not be used.

Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the tender price and Consent Surety by the surety company providing the 50% Labour and Material Bond and 50% Performance Bond of the bid price.

The lowest or any Bid may not necessarily be accepted.

The Bidders shall be deemed to have inspected the site and all conditions thereon and to have reviewed the complete contract documents in order to obtain a satisfactory comprehension of the work required and shall make all investigations necessary as to the form and nature of the site, ground, sub-soil and sub-strata, the quantities, location and nature of the work, the means of access to the site, the accommodation and facilities that may be required, and the conditions under which the labour force will be employed and in general have obtained all necessary information, location or otherwise, as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances which may influence or affect this tender.  No allowance will be subsequently made for failure to make such examination.
