Request for Proposal (RFP) Platform Lift for Sun Bowl Arena

Town of Osoyoos staff, council, family and friends participated in the 6th Annual True Consulting Ronald MacDonald House Charity Hockey Tournament held in Kelowna this past weekend.


The team did well on the ice winning two out the three games, but scored bigger in the fundraising department taking home the Tournament Cup for the team that raised the highest amount. The Osoyoos' team contribution was just over $4,750, this amount was raised through hockey drafts, 50/50 draws, donations from staff, council, friends and family, local businesses and the Osoyoos Volunteer Fire Department. The donation total was anchored by the very generous $1,500 donation from the Fire department. TRUE Consulting assisted the team by paying their tournament entry fee.


This is the second year in a row that the Osoyoos team has taken the fundraising championship and the team now has an even larger goal for next years tournament.   In the four years that the Osoyoos team has participated in the tournament, three out of the four years they have been awarded the trophy for the most money raised. The tournament raised over $30,000 this year for the for Ronald MacDonald House which translates into 400 family stays.
