Public Hearing
- The public were invited to speak before Council on Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1085.95, 2016. This bylaw would allow for a craft distillery to be specifically located at 7-6001 Lakeshore Drive and to allow this use to be generally permitted in the M3, C1, C3 and C4 zones.
Special Open
- Council gave third reading to Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1085.95, 2016. This bylaw was the subject of the public hearing held earlier.
- First and second reading were given to Official Community Plan (OCP) Amendment Bylaw No. 1230.17, 2016 for the Richter Property. This bylaw would extend the Urban Growth Boundary (UGB) around the Richter property remainder and change its Land Use Designation from Agriculture (AG) to Intensive Residential Development (IRD).
- First and second reading to the Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1085.98, 2016 for the Richter Property to change the designated zoning of the Richter property remainder from AG-Agriculture to IRD-Intensive Residential Development.
- Council set a Public Hearing date for May 16, 2016 at 4:00pm in Council Chambers for the Richter Property OCP and Zoning Amendment Bylaws for public input.
- Council moved that an application be made to the Agricultural Land Commission (ALC) for release of the Richter property remainder from the ALR.

The public is encouraged to attend the Committee of the Whole meetings which take place in Council Chambers at 9:00AM on the morning of the Regular Open Council meetings at 2:00 PM to learn additional in-depth information regarding upcoming business.
