The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen will host an open house Wednesday, January 15, to introduce Area “A” (Rural Osoyoos) residents to the 2014 Operating Budget.
The presentation will be held at the Osoyoos Legion Building, 8310 – 78 Avenue, in Osoyoos, beginning at 7 pm.
“This is an opportunity for ratepayers to review and comment on the 2014 Operating Budget,” said Board Chair and Area “A” Director Mark Pendergraft. “I welcome and encourage all those interested in the budget to attend.”
The open house will include a presentation from the Regional District's Finance team and allow for questions and comments from Area “A” residents. Information materials will be made available for residents to take home for further consideration.
The presentation will focus on tax requisitions, services and user fees specific to Electoral Area “A.”
General budget documents are also available for review on the RDOS website.
The budget bylaw will go before the Regional Board for second and third reading and adoption in mid-March. The process must be completed no later than March 31, 2014.
