PUBLIC HEARING Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1085.109 Cannabis Oct. 1

Public Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held on Monday, October 1st , 2018 at 7:00 pm in Room 4/5 at the Sonora Community Centre located at 8505 – 68 Avenue. Council will receive input on Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1085.109, 2018, which received first and second readings on September 4, 2018.

Bylaw No. 1085.109, 2018 proposes to amend Zoning Bylaw 1085, 1998, by inserting the following section after Section 4.21

4.22 CANNABIS SALES

.1 Council may approve a rezoning application for Cannabis Sales as a site-specific permitted use in the “C1 - Downtown Commercial” Zone, the “C2 - Shopping Centre Commercial” Zone, and the “C3 - Highway Commercial” Zone with consideration of Policy PLA–019 and any additional information Council deems appropriate including all or some of the information required through the Provincial licensing process.

All persons will be given an opportunity to be heard and/or present written submissions on the matter above.

Written submissions can be mailed to the undersigned or emailed to info@osoyoos.ca (The Town will only guarantee that emails received to this address will form part of the Council Agenda). The entire content of all submissions will be made public and form a part of the public record for these matters.  The deadline for written submissions is 12:00 pm (Noon) Friday, September 28, 2018.

A copy of the proposed zoning bylaw amendment may be reviewed by clicking on the link below or at the Department of Planning and Development Services office, located at 8711 Main Street from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, excluding lunch hours from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm and excluding Saturdays and Sundays.
