Three archers from Osoyoos have just returned from Cowichan Bowmen (Hell Hole 3D Provincials) loaded with GOLD.  There were over 200 archers from all over B.C.  They had to shoot 40 targets each day from various distances. Cliff Young (left) GOLD Masters 60, Sarah Martin (Center) GOLD long Bow and Brock Paton (Right) Long Bow.


Update May 22, 2014

s top traditional archers to Rock Creek for the 24 annual Traditional Bow Hunters  Of B.C. Provincials.  This year there was a record number of female shooters , 235 for a body shot and 0 for a miss. On Sunday the archers must shoot 40 more but they are longer or more difficult shots.  On Monday the shots were extreme with branches in the way and bushes covering the kill.  In re curve the competition was so tight that after 120 targets three archers were tied.  The shoot off was at 40 Yds. and first, second, third were less than 4 mm apart.

  • Cliff Young took First place in the Seniors Division
  • Ticker Quintal took Third in the highly contested  Re curve Division
  • Elaine Quintal took First in the Top Female Long Bow Division  ( her score was the highest of all female shooters in all Divisions )
  • Brock Paton took First in Long Bow wood arrows
  • Brock Paton also took the Top Scoring trophy for best score in all divisions .
