OFD receives UBCM Grant for $25,000 Community Preparedness Fund

Fire Chief Dave McMahon is pleased to share that the Town of Osoyoos was successful in its grant application to UBCM and approved by the Community Emergency Preparedness fund for $25,000.

Osoyoos Fire Department (OFD) has taken delivery of the equipment identified in our grant application.

The new equipment significantly elevates OFD's ability to fight wild-land fires within our urban interface, working a wet line from portable water supplies and set up sprinklers around structures and critical infrastructure - during wildfire events.

This equipment its fully interchangeable with that used by the BC Wildfire Service and our mutual aid partners at Anarchist Mountain, Keremeos and Oliver.
