Public Notice
is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 6:30 pm in the gymnasium at the Sonora Community Centre, 8505-68th Avenue, to consider the following bylaw amendment to Zoning Bylaw 1085, 1998.  A Special Open Meeting of Council will be held immediately after the Public Hearing so that Council may give the bylaw further consideration.

The purpose of Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1085.82, 2010, is to add a site-specific permitted use to the subject property legally described as Lot 763, Plan 2449, District Lot 2450s, SDYD, to allow for a marina. (for a map click on link above) 

Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1085.82, 2010
was given second reading as amended.  This amendment provides clarity to the bylaw regarding the location of where the marina use shall be permitted, therefore limiting this use to the immediate area surrounding Lions Park lagoon and to include the marina definition from the Zoning Bylaw No. 1085. 

All persons will be given an opportunity to be heard and to present written submissions on the matter Written submissions can be mailed to the undersigned or emailed to
tosoyoos@osoyoos.ca (the Town will only guarantee that emails sent to this address will form part of the Council Agenda). The deadline for written submissions is 12:00 pm Friday July 2, 2010.

A copy of the amendment bylaw and accompanying documents may be inspected at the Planning and Development Services office, located at 8711 Main Street from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm from Wednesday, June 23, 2010, to Tuesday, July 6, 2010, excluding Saturdays and Sundays, or by clicking here.
