NOTICE of Intent to Direct Award Beach Cleaner Deadline October 25

Notice is hereby given by the Town of Osoyoos of its intent to direct award a purchase to Oakcreek All-Terrain Vehicles for a new Beach Cleaning Machine, Cherrington 5500 with the following specifications:

  • All wheel Drive with 3 Wheel, Zero Turn ability
  • Variable Speed, oscillating sifting screen, with galvanized loading paddles, supported by a system of carbide glide pucks and hardened steel rails
  • Screening/cleaning width of 60”, depth adjustment from 0” to 6”
  • Cleaning speed of 0 to 8.5 mph, with infinite hydrostatic control
  • 1.5 cubic yard hoper, with variable dumping heights, ground to 102”
  • Polyurethane groomer, 110” wide to remove tire tracks and leave a groomed surface
  • Corrosion and abrasion resistant coatings; grit blasted an powder coated with zinc rich epoxy primer and polyester top coat
  • Certified Roll Over Protection Structure (ROPS)
  • Cab mounted video display for two cameras: rear-view and sifting screen
  • Ground clearance of 10” for road travel
  • Automatic parking brake
  • Night working lights, visual flashers, audible backup warning signal

 The Town of Osoyoos has chosen not to tender the purchase of this equipment for the following reason(s): 

  • No known competition for beach cleaning equipment in North America 

Vendors wishing to object to this decision should EMAIL or FAX a Letter of Objection by 2:00 pm on Friday, October 25, 2019 to the Town of Osoyoos. The letter of objection should present specific reasons for their objection. Vendor qualification and ability to provide the same equipment functionality at same or lower cost will be the key criteria with regard to the consideration of a vendor’s objections.
