Town of Osoyoos COVID-19 Webpage
On March 20, 2020, the Town of Osoyoos activated a Level 1 Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The intent of the EOC at this time is to provide accurate information to the public on what the Town is doing in reaction to the pandemic.  As everyone is aware, things are changing hourly.  We will respond to new information as quickly as possible to keep residents informed.  See the links below under the heading “More Information” for additional information. The link to the self-assessment tool is also available below if you are concerned you may have contracted COVID-19.  If you feel you have been infected, please call your primary health care professional or call HealthLink BC at 8-1-1 and stay home until you have been given other instructions by a health official.
The EOC is also working on a Town response plan to be ready if and when the virus becomes prevalent in our area.  The plan also includes a business continuity plan to ensure that essential services continue throughout the pandemic.
Mayor Sue McKortoff states:  “Our staff are working hard to ensure that your essential services continue and citizens can do their part in helping to prevent the spread of the virus by practicing the required social distancing, self-isolating as required by the health agencies, and washing hands regularly.” She continued to say “We understand there is concern amongst the citizens and businesses within the Town of Osoyoos as to how long and what the economic impact will be.  We do not have an answer at this time but I encourage everyone to support the local businesses that remain open so that they can continue to serve us.”
A dedicated email address for the EOC has been set up for questions regarding the Town’s response to COVID-19.  The address is  All other enquiries should be forwarded or addressed to the public health agencies.  The Town will also be continually updating information as it becomes available on its website at .  An information line has been set up at Town Hall specifically for COVID-19 response enquiries.  This number 250.495.4635 will be available Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30.

We thank all those that are following the guidelines of the provincial health agencies and hope that all efforts will help reduce the impact of the virus.
