Help BC Bats - White-Nose Syndrome Monitoring

Help BC Bats

Reports of dead bats and bats flying during winter wanted.

Bat researchers are asking for everyone's help to monitor the spread of white-nose syndrome, a disease that has killed millions of bats in Eastern North America - and has recently been detected in Eastern Washington State. The disease does not affect people.

If you see a dead bat or notice any winter bat activity, please contact the Community Bat Program at okanaganbats@gmail.com or 1-855-922-2287 ext. 13 as soon as possible.

Safety note: Never handle live bats yourself.
