This is a large document and will take a few minutes to load.
The Town of Osoyoos and CitySpaces Consulting will be hosting a three-day interactive workshop called a ‘charrette’ to discuss and develop a concept plan for the future of Gyro Park. A group of 30 stakeholder participants representing a wide range of community groups, interests and organizations have been selected to participate in the charrette.
A ‘charrette’ is a multi-step process whereby stakeholders are assisted by trained facilitators to articulate and share their ideas, reconcile differences and seek commonalities, and collaborate in developing solutions which they can democratically support. The intent of the Gyro Park charrette is to synthesize all the diverse and sometimes competing stakeholder priorities for using this relatively small piece of land and water into a common vision, overall concept plan, and set of action items for going forward.
The public is invited to participate in a Charrette Café on Thursday, October 11, 2012 from 6:00pm-7:00pm at the Seniors Centre at 17 Park Place to make suggestions and review the progress of the concept plans.
Click here to view a map of the study area.
Stay tuned, after the charrette process is completed there will also be an opportunity to review the plan and the final concept plan.
