EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY Water/Wastewater Operator Deadline October 9
The Resort Municipality of Osoyoos, BC located in the beautiful South Okanagan Valley, is accepting applications for the position of Water/Wastewater Operator in the Operational Services Department.
Position Information
The Water/Wastewater Operator is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Town's water, wastewater, and drainage infrastructure. A water/wastewater operator will be required to review, manage, and make the necessary repairs or recommendations for repairs for a variety of municipal infrastructure. This position will understand the key operation and maintenance requirements for wastewater pump stations, production wells, booster stations, water and wastewater mainlines, water treatment lagoons, and other related infrastructure.
We are looking for a Water/Wastewater Operator that can meet the demand of a complex water and wastewater system. This individual will be certified as Water Distribution Level ll, Wastewater Collection Level l, Water Treatment Level i, and a Wastewater Treatment Level l operator. Applicants with Trades qualifications in Electrical, Millwright, and Plumbing would be considered an asset.
This position is a full-time unionized position that is 40 hours/week, with the requirement to work weekends, overtime, and on-call as operationally required. The hourly rate is $28.26 - $33.24 dependent upon qualifications plus an attractive benefit package.
