The Town of Osoyoos, located in the beautiful South Okanagan Valley, is accepting applications for the position of a Permanent Part-Time Community Services Assistant.

Position Information

The Town of Osoyoos Community Services Department is inviting applications for a permanent part-time Community Services Assistant. The Community Services Assistant performs functions related to the facilitation and provision of community services, including administrative functions, working with children, youth and adults. This will include programming initiatives relating to culture, social, environmental and recreational activities and special events.

The preferred applicant will have exceptional customer service skills, experience working with children and youth in a recreation program environment, knowledge working with Book King software, BCRPA Certified Fitness or equivalent certification.

This position is a part-time unionized position with the ability to work flexible hours including weekends. The hourly rate is $19.65 - $21.83 plus a percentage in lieu of benefits.

Osoyoos is situated in a unique and special environment that includes the warmest freshwater lake in Canada and the warmest annual temperature. It is Canada's only true desert with the lowest annual precipitation and Sonoran Desert flora and fauna. Surrounded by stunning vistas, beautiful vineyards, fabulous golf courses and other outdoor amenities, it is an extraordinary area to visit, play in, and live.
