Delegations
- Ed Stephens, Senior Development Manager presented the Kelowna Airport Master Plan. Mr. Stephens encouraged everyone to complete the survey which can be found here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MASTERPLAN2045YLW-1
REGULAR OPEN MEETING
Bylaws
- Permissive Tax Exemption Bylaw No. 1324, 2016 – First Three Readings. This bylaw, council exempts the following land and/or improvements from taxation under Section 197(1) (a) of the Community Charter, for a 1 year period
- OCP Amendment Bylaw No. 1230.15, 2016 and Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1085.94, 2016 for 8 Braeburn Place (Z15-02) was adopted. These Bylaws are to amend the Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 1230, 2007 and amend Zoning Bylaw No. 1085, 1998 from “R7 – High Density Residential” to “R3 – Low Density Residential”.
Business
- Richter Subdivision and Meadowlark Area Sewer System Tender was awarded to Conex Civil Contractors.
- Council appoints White Kennedy LLP as the Town of Osoyoos municipal auditor for 2016.
Reports
- Councillor King attended the Parks and Trails Master Plan and thanked the consultants and staff who put the presentation together.
- Councillor Campol will be attending the Nk’Mip Desert Cultural Centre 10 year Anniversary.
- Mayor McKortoff attended the Okanagan Basin Water Board Annual Meeting
- Mayor McKortoff attended the South Okanagan Development Initiative Trust meeting.
- Mayor McKortoff attended Lobster on the Beach that was put on by the Osoyooos Rotary and Thanked the Rotary for the excellent job hosting the wonderful event.
- Mayor McKortoff attended a luncheon at the Osoyoos Seniors Centre and thanked all the volunteers for the events they put on for Seniors and Snowbirds.
- Mayor McKortoff attended the Grand Opening for RONA with Councillor Campol.
- Mayor McKortoff attended the Terry Fox Run which was held at the Sonora Centre.
- Mayor McKortoff encouraged residents to attend the Public Meeting International Joint Commission for Osoyoos Lake AGM that will be held on September 20th at the Oroville Highschool.
- Mayor and Council will be attending the UBCM Next week.

The public is encouraged to attend the Committee of the Whole meetings which take place in Council Chambers at 9:00 AM on the morning of the Regular Open Council meetings at 2:00 PM to learn additional in-depth information regarding upcoming business.
