BUSINESS ARISING FROM PRIOR MINUTES
-Resolutions from October 26, 2015 Special Closed meeting to be released to open meeting:
-Council approved awarding of the fire hall contract to Greyback Construction
-CAO authorized to negotiate the removal of identified deferred items from the List of Potential Items to Reduce Costs in order to maintain the integrity of the budgeted amount
-Mayor McKortoff expressed that the fire hall project will start in November 2015.
-Council resolved that the Town enter into a contract for insurance services with Capri Insurance (Frank Cowan Company) for a 5 year term with the possibility of a 5 year renewal clause and general coverage as well as Marina Liability. Town continues to obtain airport Liability Insurance from AON at the expiration of the current policy.
BUSINESS
-Council approved accepting the Water Conservation and Metering Strategy Assessment as a key strategic planning document to action budgeting requisitions to achieve the BC Water Smart Initiative targets. Town has achieved 70% of the BC Living Water Smart Initiative targets, universal water metering may be an implemented project.
REPORTS/ANNOUNCEMENTS
-Reminder about November 11th and encouraged everyone to attend the Remembrance Day service held at Sonora Centre at 10:30 am
-Area 27 has signed a lease with province and OIB to break ground on new race track
-Business Walks – Council completed visits to all businesses. Contact DO if you would like a visit.

The public is encouraged to attend the Committee of the Whole meetings which take place in Council Chambers at 9:00AM on the morning of the Regular Open Council meetings at 2:00 PM to learn additional in-depth information regarding upcoming business.
