Regular Open
DELEGATIONS
- A presentation was given by the 2016 Osoyoos Royalty Candidates, Taryn Aspell, Laura Devries and Emmaleigh Diwell, on what they found valuable in being a royalty candidate
BYLAWS
- That the Municipal Ticket Information Amendment Bylaw No. 1279.09, 2016 be adopted. This bylaw set out fines for violations of watering restrictions.
BUSINESS
- Council gave approval for authorized signatories for the Town of Osoyoos to sign the 2016/17 Annual Operating Agreement with BC Transit for a one year period
- Council directed staff to enter into an agreement with School District #53 to display the Grad Composites, Banners and Trophies at the Sonora Community Centre
- Council approved the reallocation of $24,000 from the funds originally allocated to establishing a second irrigation well in Gyro Park to be used to remediate Well No. 6, therefore ensuring adequate water supply for the Town of Osoyoos
- Council awarded the contract for the 74th Avenue and Fire Hall Offsite Street Light Installation to Balogh Electric Ltd. in the amount of $24,334.44
REPORTS
- Councillor Youngberg attended the Independent School Meeting with the Grace Lutheran Church
- Councillor Rhodes attended the Make Water Works Media opening “2016 Water Conservation” event and encourages residents to go to Make Water Work website and pledge to conserve water
- Congratulated the OSS Girls Soccer team who won the BC Rural Soccer Invitational Tournament
- Congratulated the Osoyoos Times who won the Ma Murray award
- Residents are encouraged to attend the Osoyoos Market on Main at Town Square on Saturdays
- Lake Osoyoos Water Appreciation day is on Saturday, May 21st

The public is encouraged to attend the Committee of the Whole meetings which take place in Council Chambers at 9:00AM on the morning of the Regular Open Council meetings at 2:00 PM to learn additional in-depth information regarding upcoming business.
