DELEGATIONS
- RCMP Staff Sgt. Randy Bosch discussed with Council the Town Forum which will be held on April 14, 6:30 pm at the Sonora Centre to address topics that involve the public on a daily basis, including break and enters, auto theft and fraud
BYLAWS
- 5 Year Financial Plan Bylaw No. 1317, 2016 was adopted
BUSINESS
- Council approved the 2016-2019 Business Plan
- Council gave approval to award $500.00 each to both South Okanagan Minor Hockey Association (SOMHA) Bantam Rep team and the Senior Boys Basketball team from Osoyoos Secondary School who qualified for their respective provincial tournaments
- Council waived the sign permit fees for owners wishing to replace their roof top signs with new signage
- Council endorsed the Gyro Park Pier Advancement Study, with components 1-6, to be included in the design detail
- Council approved ICBC Information Protection Policy CORP-011
- Council gave approval for the Wine Country Racing Association to use the Osoyoos Airport for 2016
- Council gave authorization for the Town to sign the Transfer under Agreement with the Province for Victim Services for the term April 1, 2016 to July 31, 2017
- Kinsmen Beach Wall Replacement and Pedestrian Access – Spartan Drive to Gyro Park at 78th Avenue – Council awarded the contract to Sterling Consulting for $52,654.76 (including GST)
- Purchase of a New Backhoe Loader – Council awarded the contract to Wajax Equipment for a JCB 3CX – 14 Super (2015) loader for $129,470.00 (including PST)
- Fire Hall Offsite Services 74th Avenue to Road “A” – Council awarded the contract to Superior Excavating for $196,413.00 (including GST)
REPORTS
- Council is encouraging all residents to come out and support the Osoyoos Coyotes as they are in their second round of playoffs
- Kara Burton from the Osoyoos Museum reached out to Elementary students educating them about endangered species through funding from the Royal Bank of Canada
- Encourage people to attend the Museum Open house on Saturday March 26th
- Okanagan Basin Water Board is concerned about possible flooding and drought
- Okanagan College in Penticton is hosting a Solar Fair on March 12th
- Council encourages the public to stay up to date on the school issues

The public is encouraged to attend the Committee of the Whole meetings which take place in Council Chambers at 9:00AM on the morning of the Regular Open Council meetings at 2:00 PM to learn additional in-depth information regarding upcoming business.
