BUSINESS
- Council approved the proposal for a Local Improvement – Municipal/Property Owner Cost Sharing Policy and directed staff to bring a formal policy to Council for consideration
- Council allowed the borrowing from Municipal Finance Authority (MFA) for the purchase of the 2015 JCB 3CX – 14 Super Backhoe Loader under section 175 of the Community Charter in the amount of $129,470.00 for five years with no rights of renewal
- Council approved the Community Services Grant Applications as recommended by the Committee as well as the grant in-aid for the Osoyoos Minor Baseball to receive full funding for their Capital Equipment Cost
- Council approved Resort Municipality Initiative (RMI) grant in aid funding for Desert Park Exhibition Society and Osoyoos Lake Water Quality Society events
REPORTS
- Daffodils will be sold on April 5th and 6th at Buy Low Foods and proceeds will go to the Cancer Society. The Daffodil Dash will take place on April 24th
- Council is encouraging residents to attend the Museum’s open house on March 26, 2016
- Council thanks the community and students for stepping up and showing Community Pride at the School District #53 meeting
- Thank you to the Osoyoos Coyotes for a great season and the community involvement from the players, coaching staff and management of the Coyotes
- The Osoyoos Desert Cup Hockey Tournament will be taking place for the next three weeks at the Sun Bowl Arena
- Encouraged people to attend the 22nd Easter Eggstravaganza on March 26th as events include Pancake Breakfast, Easter Egg Hunt, Petting Zoo and so much more

The public is encouraged to attend the Committee of the Whole meetings which take place in Council Chambers at 9:00AM on the morning of the Regular Open Council meetings at 2:00 PM to learn additional in-depth information regarding upcoming business.
