DELEGATIONS
- Osoyoos Secondary School was chosen as a semi-finalist in the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Contest. Hannah Shiels, grade 11 student from OSS made a presentation to Council on behalf of the students
- Angelique Wood, Coordinator and Julie Steffler, Community Health Facilitator made a presentation on behalf of the Okanagan Similkameen Healthy Living Coalition (include a link to their website)
- Nora Hunt-Haft gave a presentation from the local Immigration Partnership Council outlining the services they have available (include a link to their website)
- Sandy Croteau, Manager of Finance, of the RDOS presented their 2016 goals, objective and budget (include a link to their website)
BYLAWS
- Water District Rate and Regulations Amendment Bylaw No. 1241.08, 2016 was adopted
- Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1085.95, 2016 was read a first and second time. A public hearing has been set for March 21, 2016 at 7:00 PM in Council Chambers
- Waste Management Services and Regulations amendment Bylaw No. 1309.01, 2016 was adopted
- Sewer Rates and Regulations Amendment bylaw No. 1065.17, 2016 was adopted
- Revenue Anticipation Borrowing Bylaw No. 1318, 2016 was adopted
- Water Rates and Regulations Amendment Bylaw 1242.08,2016 was adopted
- 5 Year Financial Plan Bylaw No. 1317, 2016 was read a first, second and third time
BUSINESS
- Council set the date of Monday, June 6, 2016 at 1:00 PM in Council Chambers for the 2016 Annual General Meeting
- Council gave approval for the Penticton Model Aviation Clue to use the Osoyoos Airport for a term of January 1 to December 31, 2016
- Council approved the lease amendment with Home Hardware
- Council was given an update from the Chief Administrative Office on the impending school closure
- Council gave approval for the Mayor to sign sign a letter to Naomi Yamamoto, Minister of State for Emergency Preparedness commenting on the discussion paper on changes to the Emergency Program Act and to also forward the comments to Citizen Engagement BC
REPORTS
- Council is encouraging all residents to attend the public meeting at
Osoyoos Elementary SchoolSonora Community Centre on March 8 at 7:00 regarding school closures and to submit any ideas they have to Mayor and Council - Come out and support the Osoyoos Coyotes as they begin playoffs next week
- Osoyoos Art Gallery is hosting the Young Artist artwork on display up until February 27

The public is encouraged to attend the Committee of the Whole meetings which take place in Council Chambers at 9:00AM on the morning of the Regular Open Council meetings at 2:00 PM to learn additional in-depth information regarding upcoming business.
