Council Meeting Highlights for April 7, 2015

Committee of the Whole  Regular Open


  • 2015 SILGA Awareness – presented by Councillor Kim Maynard of Town of Princeton


  • Town of Osoyoos Foreshore and Lake Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1294.01, 2015, Amendment for Paradise Park Lessees Association at 5901 Main Street, Bylaw read a first and second time


  • School District 53 Okanagan-Similkameen – Mayor McKortoff will be attending the informal meeting with Trustees and District Management Staff.
  • Community Services Grant Applications report by Director of Community Services
  • Council approves the appointment of Martin Connolly to the Economic Development Committee.   
  • Council approved Outland Design Landscape Architecture to issue a change order for Crown Contracting Ltd. to purchase materials needed to construct Stage “B” of the Gyro Park Plaza.
  • Administration to make application to the Federal Gas Tax Fund-Strategic Priorities Fund to enable the Sewer Main Lift Upgrading Project
  • Administration to make application to the Federal Gas Tax Fund-Strategic Priorities Fund to enable the Irrigation District System #8 Domestic Twinning Project
  • Council supports a $10,000 grant to the 2015 Asset Management Planning Program and directs the Administration to provide grant management support for this grant application.
  • ALR Exclusion Application for Effa Property at 9419 Spartan Drive, Council supports the ALC Approval of the application by Mr. Ronald Effa.
  • B.C. Transit – 2015-2016 Annual Operating Agreement, town signatories authorized to sign the agreement for a period of one year.
  • Regular Open Meeting of September 21, 2015 is canceled.
  • ICBC Information Sharing Agreement, Town signatories authorized to sign the agreement.

The public is encouraged to attend the Committee of the Whole meetings which take place in Council Chambers at 9:00AM on the morning of the Regular Open Council meetings at 2:00 PM to learn additional in-depth information regarding upcoming business.
