The Town of Osoyoos has declared a State of Local Emergency due to the imminent threat of flooding and rising Osoyoos Lake levels which may threaten properties and Town infrastructure.

The Town is directing the following actions:

  1. Harbour Key is closed to public traffic.
  2. Unnecessary vehicle traffic entering Lakeshore Drive is restricted as the area is being identified as local traffic only.
  3. Sand pick up access is from Cottonwood Drive only as the Harbour Key access is only for trucks bringing sand and sand bags.
  4. Spartan Drive is closed at the marina.

The Town of Osoyoos thanks all the volunteers who are assisting with sand bagging and helping out in all other areas. A thank you also to the businesses that are helping with food for the volunteers.
