Petitions and Delegations

• David Yanor made a presentation on the value of Mature Trees to Council.
• Troy Clifford from Ambulance Paramedics of BC provided Council with information on how local governments and Ambulance Paramedics of BC can work together to advocate for health care services in all communities.

Staff Reports

• Jared Brounstein, Director of Operational Services, Steve Underwood and Todd Turnbull from TRUE Consulting made a presentation to Council on road improvements to four road sections; Harbour Key Drive, 89th Street, 92nd Avenue and Oleander Drive. This item will be brought forward to Council in a Regular Open meeting at a later date.
• The Medical Professional Recruitment presentation was postponed to a future Committee of the Whole meeting.

  REGULAR OPEN MEETING

  Public Hearings

• Council approved the Town forwarding the Agricultural Reserve Exclusion Application No. 23-01 (ALC File: 67255) to the Agricultural Land Commission for their consideration following a Public Hearing held in Council Chambers on March 14, 2023.

Staff Reports

• Council approved the recommended applications for the 2023 Community Services Grant Program.

• Councillor Poturica attended the Osoyoos Airport Society meeting.
• Councillor Poturica attended the Destination Osoyoos strategic planning meeting.
• Councillors Poturica and Cheong attended Local Government Leadership Academy.
• Councillor Bennett attended the Municipal Insurance Association of BC meeting.
• Councillor Bennett attended the Trails of the Okanagan meeting.
• Councillors King, Bennett and Cheong attended the Grant Evaluation Committee meeting.
• Mayor McKortoff and Councillors Poturica, Bennett and King attended the in-person workshop for the Osoyoos Zoning Bylaw update.
• Mayor McKortoff attended multiple RDOS meetings.
• Mayor McKortoff announced the 49th Annual Atom Fiesta is being held this weekend at the Sun Bowl Arena.
• Mayor McKortoff announced this weekend was the last indoor Farmers Market at the Sonora Community Centre.
• Mayor McKortoff announced the Okanagan Basin Water Board's Okanagan WaterWise is presenting the documentary DamNation in celebration of World Water Day on March 21, 2023.
